Our Story
Since 1989, we have been deeply rooted in the textile industry, manufacturing high-quality yarns, fabrics, and garments. Building on decades of expertise, we incorporated a new and innovative venture Banfab in 2019.
Banfab is dedicated to developing natural fibre yarns made from banana fibre, blended up to 60% with other sustainable natural fibres such as organic cotton, flax, and bamboo. These blends deliver performance, durability, and sustainability tailored for the future of textiles.
Our innovations have been introduced to international niche brands across Europe, the USA, and Asia, and we have successfully completed pilot projects with many leading niche brands worldwide.
With a strong legacy and a clear vision, Banfab continues to push the boundaries of sustainable textile innovation.

We are committed to supporting farmers engaged in banana cultivation across South India. After harvesting banana bunches, farmers often incur significant costs to remove banana plant waste from their fields.
We aim to empower farmers by educating them on extracting fiber from discarded banana plant layers, transforming agricultural waste into an additional source of income.
On average, one acre of banana plantation contains approximately 1,000 to 1,200 banana plants, from which nearly 120 kg of banana fiber can be extracted.
Looking ahead, we plan to supply fiber-extraction machinery to farmers and implement a buy-back model to purchase the extracted banana fiber. Through this sustainable value chain, we seek to provide meaningful financial support to farmers while contributing to improved livelihoods and environmental sustainability.
